The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Contribute individually and collaborate as team with QA engineers to verify and validate computing platforms including AI / ML model development and Transaction monitoring platform for FCSO Technology Team.

Strategy

Adhere to defined DB / ETL / UI verification / validation process and test automation framework to enhance quality of product.
Champion test innovations by introducing better tools, utilities, and agile practices.
Business

Engage with Business to understand user journeys and assist in deriving domain-driven solution.
Engage with development team to provide good testing coverage and provide guidance on fixing verification and validation issues.
Engage with Technology Assurance team to confirm verification and validation is compliant with the audit process where necessary.
Processes

Good experience in agile methodologies.
Experience in software testing, DB / ETL and UI, using open-source, inhouse and proprietary technologies.
Experience in automated software testing.
Knowledge in domain-driven validations.
People and Talent

Must be able to code in Java / Python (Automation script development / Utilities development).
Experience in technologies listed below
Language - Java, SQL, Python
Cloud- AWS, Azure
Data - Oracle, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, HIVE
API - REST API
Strong knowledge in CI / CD toolset such as Artifactory, Jenkins, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence.
Strong knowledge in automated testing toolset such as jUnit, cucumber, Selenium etc.
Strong knowledge in scripting languages such as Groovy and Linux shell.
Knowledge in Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Eclipse, IntelliJ and Anaconda
Risk Management

The ability to understand control measures defined by audit team and ensure testing is compliant with the audit process. Identify gaps in associated phases of SDLC and flag it to the notice of QA Head (or respective People leaders) along with options to mitigate them.
Governance

Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
8 years of software engineering experience.
Must be hands-on ETL software testing, Automation and DevOps.
Experience with different DB (Oracle, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
Role Specific Technical Competencies

Experience in software testing, DB / ETL and UI, using open-source / inhouse and proprietary technologies
Strong knowledge in CI / CD toolset such as Artifactory, Jenkins, BitBucket, Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence
Experience in automated software testing using cucumber, selenium and Java
Strong knowledge in scripting languages such as Groovy and Linux shell
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Fluency in verbal and written communication
