Qualifications / Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Certified or retired teacher/Professional/ student teachers/ Education Assistants/university/College students (completed at least one full year of University/College )
Open to completing a criminal background check (Background checks from other agencies are accepted)
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Bilingual is an asset
The Role:
We’re seeking talented tutors to work with students of all grades, from elementary to high school, across a range of subjects. This isn’t just about helping students with homework; it’s about building relationships and creating an environment where students develop a lifelong love of learning. As a Tutor Doctor tutor, you'll work one-on-one with students to develop tailored lessons that fit their unique learning style, helping them grow both academically and personally.
What You'll Be Doing:
Engage students of all grades in meaningful, personalized tutoring sessions that are fun and interactive.
Focus on the whole student, understanding their learning style, and tailoring lessons to spark their interest and boost confidence.
Provide support in a wide range of subjects: from elementary basics to secondary school subjects.
Track student progress and celebrate their successes, big and small.
Foster a growth mindset in every student, helping them see mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow.

A creative and adaptive approach to tutoring that meets each student’s unique learning needs.
Previous tutoring experience (or the ability to quickly connect with students and explain concepts in a clear, approachable way).
