The Test Technician tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies prototype and production electronic components, production boards, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment and test equipment. The Test Techinican will apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for following customer provided test procedures.
- Work with Design Engineering to resolve technical problems.
- Maintain test procedures and test documentation as required.
- May set-up standard test apparatus and run environmental tests.
- Analyze and interprets test data.
- Confirm correct operation of digital and analog electronic equipment for audio and communication applications.
- Perform fault isolation function.
- Follow approved board level and system test procedures and ensures correct equipment operation for a full range of self-manufactured and purchased product.
Required & Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
- 2+ years experience in testing finished Printed Circuit Boards.
- IPC Certification is a plus.
- Education in related field is a strong plus.
Work Environment/Physical & Mental Requirements
- This job operates in a test lab
- Constantly operates a computer, tools, and equipment related to the testing of Printed Circuit Boards.
- Frequently needs to communicate information with other members of the Test team and organization.
- Must be able to move PCBs and other items weighing up to 20lbs.
