Introduction: Using cutting edge Data Engineering solutions and processes, design and develop ETL Components and processes that are highly efficient, resilient, conform to all Barclays quality and security standards and that can be continually refined and are underpinned by robust DevOps and Software Engineering practices and toolsets.
What will you be doing?
Subject Matter Expert in Data engineering quality assurance activities
Contributes towards designing a test strategy for validating AI/ML models underpinned by cutting edge data engineering and programming tech stack such as Python, R, ETL solutions such as Ab Initio, Big data technologies such as Hadoop, Snowflake and RDBMS tools such as Oracle DB, MS SQL Server
Works closely with test lead and produces test plans, estimations and any reporting requirements
Works closely with Tech Lead, Test Leads, Solution Architects, Engineering Leads, Designers and Business to develop and deliver most optimal solutions towards programme’s data engineering testing requirements
Explores and pins down every single opportunity for implementing test automation across programme’s data engineering components
Adheres to all prescribed Barclays guidelines and standards for design, coding and ensures full compliance to privacy, control and governance requirements.
Accountable for maintaining regression packs that are fully automated
Understands defect lifecycle concepts, test data management and various testing phases such as System Test, System Integration and End to End testing.
