Job Description
Job duties and responsibilities:
• To carry out the testing activities on SKF products using testing machines/equipment as per the Global test procedures and local work instructions and Support on testing supporting activities such, Raising PR, Follow up with Supplier, Co ordinate for calibration, etc.,
• Performing testing activities – assembly and disassembly of test samples/fixtures as per work instructions or as instructed by testing engineer
• Programming testing machines, which run cyclic test schedules as per work instructions or as instructed by testing engineer
• Regular monitoring of test rigs and recording test observations as per instructions
• Resetting of test machines .
• Follow up on Purchasing process for Lab Tools and Materials
• Perform Incoming inspection against drawings.
• Follow up vendor on regular basis.
• Adhere to maintenance plan of the machine and Calibration activity.
Qualifications and experience required:
• Diploma in mechanical stream
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years in Mechanical / Production / R & D Industry.
• Working experience on machines by following work instructions
• Working experience on Testing/R&D related machines would be an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of mechanical tools used in machine work shops
• Basic knowledge of computer operation (Microsoft office packages)
• Interested in experimental testing and practical work
• Be able to follow written specifications and work instructions with meticulous monitoring/recording of data/measurement result.
• Good communication skills and working knowledge of English language
• Creative enough to think of out of the box solutions to daily issues at the testing centre
• Should have Interest to learn new things on Job
