ETL Tester – Job Description
Primary responsibilities:
• Work closely with Business Analysts and Software Developers to identify system requirements.
• Troubleshoot and document bugs and defects using bug tracking systems - JIRA.
• Actively Participate in daily stand-ups and other meetings as necessary.
• Identifying both functional and technical test scenarios that are applicable to the object under validation
• Prepare the test design document, upload and execute test cases in JIRA – Zephyr.
• Prepare the source SQL query with reference to the mapping doc and compare it with TGT data for data quality checks.
• Analyse data and compare with expected or anticipated results.
• Translate business requirements and specifications into test scenarios and test cases.
• Document test results and get it reviewed and approved from BA Team.
Skill requirements:
• ETL testing experience at Senior Level
• Strong advanced SQL skills
• DBT skills (preferred)
• Very good verbal and written communication
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good team player
• Knowledge in Tableau Report testing (preferred)
• Should have experience with Informatica / Datastage Pipelines
• Should have testing experience with Data migration and validations
• Should have hands on PL / SQL
• Should have good understanding of UT / IT / UAT strategies and related release artifacts.
• Should be able to independently work on producing the desired testing results.
