Roles and Responsibility
• Understand business requirements and target quality delivery within stipulated timeline
• Work closely with other Project team members (Dev/Test/BA/Support/Product Owners)
• Identify risks and issues early, plan mitigating steps and communicate these to stakeholders in a timely manner
• Prepare Test strategy document and Plan the Test Execution.
• Develop automation test scripts utilizing in-house automation tooling and ensuring high level of automation.
• Build scalable solutions to allow continuous delivery and testing approach
• Refine regression packs to remove duplication and streamline efficiency
• Facilitate high quality software deliveries by applying business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Detect, document and report bugs and errors encountered
• Prepare test closure reports for every release.
• List the challenges/improvements in Sprint Retrospective to address the same in the upcoming sprints.
• Effectively communicate daily and weekly test metrics.
• Good understanding of agile processes; participate in backlog grooming sessions and daily sprint meetings
Our Ideal Candidate
• 6+ years of experience in designing, developing and executing the functional & automated testing scripts for a large scale, high volume, low latency enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and related tooling like Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts in Java.
• Good knowledge of QA standards, methodologies and processes
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, continuous integration and performance testing.
• Good understanding on basic Unix commands.
• Good understanding of Rest APIs.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Candidate should have ability to learn new techniques and technologies quickly.
• Candidate should possess good analytical skills.
• Financial Markets knowledge is added advantage
