Role Description
This role is intended for serious design graduates who want to transition from academic learning to professional textile practice.
You will work closely with the founder and creative production team and support the studio across textile development, material exploration, embroidery, presentations, documentation, and day-to-day design execution.
For the right candidate, this internship can lead to a Junior Textile Designer role, based on performance, alignment with the studio’s process, teamwork, and self-driven approach to work.
Key Responsibilities
Fabric selection, sourcing, and material exploration
Surface design, embroidery development, and sampling
Quality checks, finishing, and coordination with artisans
Creating presentations, mood boards, and process documentation
Assisting with graphic layouts and client-facing decks
Supporting product development, costing discussions, and studio coordination
Providing reliable day-to-day support across ongoing projects
Graduates from NID (any campus), SOFT, TDV, NIFT, or equivalent institutions who:
Have a strong grounding in textiles, surface design, or material practice
Are comfortable moving between thinking, making, and execution
Can communicate ideas clearly through presentations and visuals
Are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable
Work well in a small team and respect studio workflows
Are genuinely interested in sustainability, craft, and circular design
Studio Expectations (Please Read Carefully)
This is a hands-on, studio-based role involving physical textile work, coordination, and evolving briefs.
It requires consistency, initiative, and the ability to work independently once guided.
This role is not suitable for those seeking purely conceptual, remote, or light internships.

Practical Details
Duration: 4-6 months (extendable based on performance)
