Role Overview: Textile Designer (Home Textiles) We are seeking a dynamic and talented Textile Designer to join our creative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to design for international markets, develop innovative products, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Creative Design: Conceptualize and design an exciting range of soft home furnishing products, including decorative cushions, bed linens, and throws for international clients. Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of global trends by forecasting colors, styles, and designs that appeal to our diverse customer base. CAD Development: Utilize design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, to create stunning Computer-Aided Designs (CADs) that bring your concepts to life. Sample Creation: Collaborate closely with tailors and craftspeople to create high-quality samples that meet buyer expectations. Product Development: Understand buyer requirements and ensure the timely development of products that align with their vision and standards. What We’re Looking For: Educational Background: Degree in Textile Design from a recognized institution such as the National Institute of Design (NID) or the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a home textiles export house. Skills & Qualities: Proficiency in textile design software, particularly CAD and Adobe Photoshop. Design experience with Jacquard, woven, and print textiles. Strong organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail. Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. A proactive, creative thinker who is a team player with a passion for design. Knowledge of office applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook is an added advantage. Location: Candidates must be based in Mumbai, preferably South Mumbai, or able to commute easily.
