Position: Foundation TFS - Intern
Position Type: Full time Internship (4 -6 months), Monday to Friday, 35 hours

Hourly Rate: $ 23.66
Starting date: April/May 2026
About the position :

Reporting to the Senior Director, Development, the intern will play a key role in supporting the Advancement Office fundraising initiatives. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advancement, donor relations, and event coordination while working closely with Foundation staff, school administrators, volunteers, and the TFS Alumni Association.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide administrative and project management support for alumni and Foundation programming, including events, communications, and volunteer engagement.
Support the planning, promotion, execution, and follow-up of TFS signature events including, Alumni and Foundation events.
Assist with on-site event support, including setup, coordination, and real-time content capture.
Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s Edge by entering and updating donor information, event participation details, and interactions to support engagement and fundraising efforts.
Ensure all donor information is handled with confidentiality and in compliance with privacy policies and data protection laws.
Support donor list segmentation to inform targeted event promotion and outreach.
Support data quality initiatives and contribute to the documentation of business operations processes.
Provide administrative support to Foundation leadership as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for :

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to meaningful projects that strengthen alumni and donor engagement. Preference will be given to TFS alumni.
The ideal candidate profile is as follows:
Education:
Enrolled in or graduate of a post-secondary program, ideally in communications, fundraising or management.
Experience:
Previous experience working in an office setting.
Technical Skills:
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, sponsors, students, and staff.
Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with experience creating communication and promotional materials for events and campaigns.
Project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative working style, with the ability to exercise tact, discretion, and good judgment.
Experience with donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge or prospect research tools is an asset.
Budget management skills and awareness of cost considerations in event and campaign planning.
Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, Canva, and other design platforms.
Photography and/or basic videography skills, with the ability to capture and edit event content, is an asset.
Language skills:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English. French is an asset.
Performance Skills:
Must be able to work independently, exercise initiative with strong prioritizing and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment.
