Full job description
We are a leading Thai restaurant offering delicious Thai dishes in Auckland. We now need a Cook to help us provide top-quality service. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week, but you may need to work around 40 hours a week.
The job involves the following tasks and duties:
Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant
Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary
Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation
Assisting in improving dishes
Assisting in managing the overall operation of the kitchen
Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks
Ensuring the kitchen’s operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.
To qualify for the job:
At least two years of work experience in cooking Thai Cuisine is needed.
A relevant diploma, or a bachelor's degree in any major, can replace the required work experience.
Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
You may be required to work during the weekend
You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hands is thoroughly clean
