Job Description
We are looking for experienced Wall and Floor Tilers with a minimum of 3 years' experience to help deliver a wide range of projects across ACT. You will be responsible for a high-quality finish and have support from the team to deliver on any project
Must have:
Minimum 3 years of experience on wall and floor tiling essential
Immediate start
Proven history of quality projects
Self-starter
Attention to detail
Honesty and reliability is paramount
Ability to work unsupervised, coordinate trades and positively communicate with office and other team members
Good English and communication skills essential
Work Vehicle and pay negotiable for right applicant
Responsibilities and daily duties:
o Lays ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal walls and floors to provide protective and decorative finishes
o examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
o lay various floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition coloured and patterned tiles
o preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces
o spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
o using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
o Correctly align and space tiles
o waterproofing, grouting, cleaning and removing excess grout
