Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the teachers with the implementation of a developmentally appropriate and diverse curriculum that supports the overall development of preschool age children (3-5 years of age).
• The Child Development Center (CDC) is a state licensed child-care facility and enrolls children of Neumann University students, faculty, administration, staff, and from the surrounding community.
• There are two positions available:
• Mornings - This position is Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.
• Afternoons - This position is Monday through Friday, 12:30 p.m.to 5:30 p.m.
• Both are September through June annually, with the possibility of working the summer programming.
Qualifications
• A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is required unless the candidate has an Associate's degree, or higher, in Early Childhood Education or at least 30 college credits in education.
• Recent experience working with children in an early learning environment (ECE) is preferred.
• Candidates must possess an appreciation for, congruence with, and commitment to the Franciscan mission of the University that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
