What You’ll Achieve
We’re building a new O-RAN compliant 5G NR RAN and we’re looking for talented software engineers to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity. The Distributed Unit (DU) team has multiple openings for key roles in a new high-powered Bengaluru R&D team. If you enjoy working on a new product, new software, new team, deep desire to learn and collaborate with others, then we want to hear from you.
You will:
• Work as a key member of an agile scrum team, participate in design and implementation of the DU in 5G RAN
• Own one or more sub-system of the DU solution under development
• Work closely with Architects and System engineers
• Work with 3GPP and O-RAN specifications
• Help train and mentor junior team members
• Develop automated tests using simulators for DU
• Work to identify and drive improvements, contribute towards integration and test automation
• Work closely with the verification group to ensure the completeness, quality and performance of the implemented DU functionality

Essential Skills:
• Experience with Lean Agile & Scrum Methodologies, Familiarity with CI/CD principles, Experience working with Linux
• Proficient in C or/and C++ and strong knowledge of 3GPP standards and protocols
• Excellent understanding of LTE and/or 5G RAN architecture, protocols, and procedures
• Working experience of 4G/5G Layer-2 software design with emphasis on RLC, MAC, L2 scheduler and L1/L2 interfaces
• Working experience with embedded debugging tools like Wireshark, gdb
• 5+ years’ experience working on development of carrier grade telecommunications products.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of 4G/5G Layer-1 procedure; SCF FAPI interface; DPDK/ODP/VPP; 5G NR Functional Splitst
• Knowledge of O-RAN specifications with emphasis on WG4 CUS and M-Plane
