Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tour Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage time effectively. Responsibilities
Receive and review all bookings and coordinate related reservations
Provide travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation, accommodation options, and costs
Calculate travel and accommodation costs and ensure budget compliance
Design new travel destinations, hotels, and amenities to enhance tour offerings
Develop and organize comprehensive tour itineraries based on client preferences and needs
Coordinate logistical aspects of tours, including transportation, accommodation, meals, and activities
Communicate with local DMCs (Destination Management Companies) and clients to ensure smooth operations
Ensure all airline tickets are booked in advance to secure the best rates and availability
Align flight schedules with tour itineraries for seamless travel experiences
Monitor flight schedule changes or cancellations and adjust tour plans as needed
Coordinate with airlines to manage group bookings and address special requests from clients
Maintain excellent communication with clients before, during, and after tours to ensure satisfaction
Handle cancellations and reimbursements for transportation and accommodation
Address any concerns or feedback from clients promptly
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth tour operations
Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to handle emergencies or unexpected situations
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in sales / customer service in North America
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with cruise operations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proficiency in Amadeus is a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Creative mindset with a keen eye for details
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Able to work on weekends and overtime as needed
Hospitality experience preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher is an asset
