Towbar & Service Technician needed in Newcastle
• Basic salary £27,000 plus bonus.
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday (+am - 5pm).
• No Weekends!
• Our client is seeking applications from candidates with previous experience in vehicle mechanics.
• No formal vehicle maintenance qualifications needed.
• Access to industry leading training from the offset and throughout.

Our client, a highly regarded business with sites across the UK, is seeking a Towbar & Service Technician to join their team in their busy Newcastle branch.
What will the successful Towbar & Service Technician do?
• Undertake daily duties as designated by the Branch Team and Workshop Diary.
• Fit towbars to customer vehicles having first checked for marks/scratches ensuring all marks are recorded on the relevant form.
• Ensure all towbar fits and trailer services/repairs are completed in an acceptable timeframe and quality.
• Report any problems or damage relating to customers’ vehicles/property immediately to the Branch Manager/Assistant Manager.
• Service and repair the Company’s fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
• Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
• Assemble and modify trailers as required.
• Keep tools/equipment in good working order.
The successful Towbar & Service Technician will have:
• A sound working knowledge of mechanics/electrics.
• Confidence repairing/fitting towbars desirable.
• Experience conducting repairs on trailers.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• The ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.
• Full UK Drivers License.
The successful Towbar & Service Technician will get:
• Basic salary of £27,000.
• OTE c. £30,000.
