Job Description
The International Markets team works closely with TIQ's international network and client facing teams to support the delivery of trade and investment services and achieve outcomes.
Your Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of market portfolios, engage with key government and industry stakeholders and contribute to delivering the trade and investment priorities for the Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake research and analysis on specific market policies, priorities and opportunities to inform the advice and briefings provided to the Minister, CEO, Board, clients and stakeholders.
Prepare briefs for mission programs, Ministerial and CEO meetings and attendance at events to provide salient information and insights, pertinent to the occasion.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key market stakeholders, including market chambers, consulates and key market allies based in Queensland.
Plan and deliver projects, events and initiatives.
Manage and coordinate international delegations by collaborating with other TIQ teams and external stakeholders to organise visit programs.
Support TIQ overseas posts with mission preparation, business planning and as a conduit to TIQ's Queensland based teams.
Participate in the development and implementation of specific Market Strategies by undertaking research, stakeholder consultation, writing and delivering initiatives.
Capture and regularly update records and communication in TIQ's Client Relationship Management system (CRM).
Your Key Capabilities
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated project management skills that can be applied to the planning and coordination of outbound trade and investment missions, events, international delegations visiting Queensland and other activities.
Demonstrated capabilities in engaging and collaborating with external and internal stakeholders and clients.
Analytical and research competencies and the technological ability to use relevant IT technologies and platforms to get information to inform market advice and the preparation of market strategies and reports.
A high standard of written proficiency, particularly in relation to the preparation of government briefs for high level meetings, events and mission program meetings.
Proven organisational skills and abilities to effectively arrange, coordinate and deliver roundtables, events and other activations as required.
