Job Description
The role involves travel to various client locations within the Auckland region. All work- related travel expenses will be covered by the employer.
Key job responsibilities:
Assist electricians and technicians with the installation and setup of electrical and wireless communication systems and equipment.
Support the maintenance and repair of electrical and telecommunications systems, including assisting with basic fault identification.
Operate hand and power tools used in electrical and telecommunications installation work.
Maintain clean and organised work areas, ensuring tools, cables, and equipment are handled and stored safely.
Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety procedures, including working safely around live systems and communication infrastructure.
Perform general trade support duties and assist with on-site tasks across multiple client locations as directed.
Replace power meter communication devices (modems) and related wireless components during site visits.
Assist with basic troubleshooting of communication devices and report faults to qualified electricians or technicians.
Support field operations, including preparing equipment, handling materials, and assisting with installations at various sites.
Work safely in environments where asbestos may be present, following all required safety procedures and training guidelines.
Assist with lifting, loading, and unloading tools, equipment, and telecommunications materials.
Provide support during system installations, servicing, and breakdown response activities.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.
Other important requirements:
Relevant work experience is preferred but not essential.
A valid driver’s licence is required.
Physically fit to carry out a range of tasks.
Available to work Monday to Saturday.
Willing to undergo pre-employment drug testing.
Hardworking, reliable, and motivated individual.
