Your day-to-day responsibilities:


This role will be responsible for the administration of all operational aspects of trade finance products. You will also:


Provide Trade Finance support and undertake a range of procedures some of which may be complex in nature, working on own initiative.
Answer queries non-routine in nature, providing advice and guidance to others.
Compose / draft correspondence, signing within delegated authority.
Operate a keyboard or other equipment making special use of software facilities to facilitate production of letters/ reports/data.
Plan, organise and prioritise own workloads and where appropriate instruct others.
Compile and process management information.
Verify / check the work of others as part of the defined procedure, when required.

Trade Finance is a very diverse and interesting department of the Bank as it caters for the financing of transactions for importers and exporters from all over the world for a multitude of products such as Oil, Pharmaceuticals, Foodstuffs, Technology and even Motorcycles. The Business Development Unit of the Bank has the mandate to support the expansion initiatives of the Bank and this includes developing new businesses, engaging new customers and creating value for the Bank within value chain model of the Group. Key skills:


We are looking for someone with:


Strong knowledge in Trade Finance
An Undergraduate degree, preferably in a relevant subject
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power-point & Excel)
Teamwork and leadership skills essential
Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Additional advantage:


Language skills (e.g. proficient in French, Portuguese etc.)
