Job Summary
J.P. Morgan Custody provides Institutional investors access to markets worldwide for the settlement, safekeeping and asset servicing of securities, along with ancillary services such as Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Solutions. This product suite, along with our Markets business, helps us service our core client segments: Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Insurance/GSEs, Banks/Broker Dealers and Hedge Funds and Alternatives. We are committed to delivering investor solutions that help clients protect their portfolios, optimize their efficiency and maximize opportunities in diverse global markets.
Job Responsibilities
Supervisory responsibilities for trade pre-matching & settlement & trade related issue resolution.
Monitor Key Risk parameters for the team throughout the day . Work with various internal teams such as trade processing, pre-matching, settlements, cash processing, account opening and asset servicing to process transactions and resolve any exceptions on a timely manner.
Partner with operations, technology, product and senior partners to work through strategic program delivery . Partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes.
Maintain the highest individual and team standards for quality assurance as it relates to all investor or fund activity / changes; ensure team is 'Always Audit Ready'
Follow JPMorgan's established processes and procedures; Look to modify / iterate processes and procedures to continually improve accuracy, reduce redundancy, and mitigate risk . Perform EOD process to ensure all deliverables were met timely and accurately and that exceptions are appropriately noted.
Excellent prior custody & fund services, executing broker or prime brokerage operational experience
Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels . Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
Required Qualification, Capabilities & Skills
Bachelor's degree required (business discipline preferred)
Minimum 10 - 15 years in Financial Services industry, preferably in custody & fund services, markets or prime brokerage space
Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Outlook Express (or similar email program)
Strong relationship management and partnership with a large array of constituents; ability to manage by influence to promote change
Proactive in identifying and escalating issues
Leadership / Teamwork: Builds effective teams committed to organizational goals; fosters collaboration among team members and among teams
Preferred Qualification, Capabilities & Skills
Strong financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction / trade lifecycle in Custody and/or
Subject matter expertise in Equities, Fixed Income, FX,
