About You
You will have proven experience in trade marketing, sales support, or related roles, preferably within the tourism or travel industry, complemented by relevant Diploma, Degree, or Tertiary Qualifications in Marketing, Travel and Tourism, Sales, Business, or related fields.
We are looking for someone who possesses a strong ability to create, develop, and implement trade marketing plans. Come in with your ideas!
You will be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational and project management skills and be able to multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside exceptional attention to detail and creativity.
Additionally, you will be expected to showcase your analytical skills and innovative problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital marketing tools will be highly beneficial. Adaptability to a frequently changing market environment is key, as well as strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

About The Role
As the Trade Marketing Executive, you will be pivotal in developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive sales and enhance Journey Beyond’s brand visibility nationally and internationally. Your role will focus on increasing trade partner engagement, global brand awareness, and market share in alignment with our globalisation strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:
Plan and execute trade marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and events to drive engagement and sales.
Collaborate with the Trade Marketing Manager for timely and effective execution of activities tailored for travel agents and industry partners.
Maintain up-to-date records of all marketing activities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing activities via key performance metrics.
Manage and optimise the budget for trade media advertising, including negotiation and purchasing of annual bulk trade media placements.
Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging reflecting Journey Beyond’s brand and values.
Stay informed about industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.
Build and maintain robust relationships with trade partners and industry stakeholders.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences as required.
