Global Trade and Receivables Finance
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Commercial Banking - GTRF Services, Guarantees team.
Principal Responsibilities
To manage and supervise a team for issuance of Text Review & Bank Guarantees PAN India
To support and assist all Guarantee Operations for PAN India Local Bank Guarantee Portfolio.
To provide inputs for preparation of Process Notes/Manuals and be involved in its compilation.
To conduct Trade Academy for Bank Guarantees for customers, CSMs as well as Business Development Relationship Managers.
To conduct Client Management Review Calls along with the Guarantee Client Service Management team.
To mentor new joiners in team. To train and develop persons identified as per succession plan.
To ensure performance is managed proactively, especially where developmental needs have been identified. To ensure team members complete mandatory e-learning modules.
To manage healthy professional relationship with relationship managers / stakeholders.
To support and assist other unit heads (VPs and AVPs), team members in situation of exigency, increased volumes, leaves etc so that the operations are smoothly executed.
Supervise internal approvals and tracker. Supervise customer queries with respect to guarantee transactions and take it to logical end / conclusion. Supervise that all the commission for correspondent Bank Guarantees issued / extended are paid within TATs.
To support and assist Counter Guarantee / Overseas Bank Guarantee Issuance including inward Counter Guarantee backed transactions.
Innovating and implementing new ideas to improve the processes through automation and also provide suggestions for Process Control measures to minimize errors while processing transactions.
To ensure that the issuance of the Bank Guarantee format is taken as per the Bank Guidelines taking into consideration that the Bank’s interest is safeguarded and also ensure compliance with the Legal / Regulatory Requirement.
To ensure that the guarantee texts issued for all Local, Counter Guaranteed Guarantee with the agreed SLAs. Furthermore, customer’s queries if any to be responded within TAT and obtain clarification from higher authorities, Legal, Risk or Business as maybe applicable to meet customer expectation.
To be one point of contact for the customer, CSM and R.M. (Operations Service Manager) for any issues / delay / complaints regarding the issuance / extension/ amendment/ cancellation/ claims/ queries for guarantees transactions.
Undertaking Issuance/ extension/ amendment of guarantees as per the customer’s request on a timely basis, which includes scrutinizing the factual details from HUB system, the request letter and any approvals received from the Business / Legal / Compliance/ Risk.
Follow-up and timely action for commissions receivables / payables (both local and overseas) is undertaken rigorously.
Review the control reports and other HIE generated reports on a daily basis to ensure that no Balance Sheet differences has occurred on account of the guarantees transacted on the previous day.
Managing the trade relationships of select clients.
Scrutinizing all the GTE documents submitted for processing which include fresh issuance, extension, extend or pay, commission recovery and cancellation.
Liaising with clients for any clarifications on documentation.
Ensure all MIS / Reporting for Internal /External teams is done within deadlines.
The job holder also interfaces with Clerical staff in terms of getting transactions captured on the system. The incumbent is also tasked with observance of AML and Sanctions related as well as other Internal guidelines, besides being a familiar with the Indian Regulatory framework given that Guarantees are being issued to Beneficiaries outside India.
The job holder is also responsible for liaising with Concurrent Auditors, providing them with all relevant information and resolving their queries.
Respond to client queries promptly and ensure agreed TATs are met.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree/MBA or equivalent and around ten years of experience in Credit Administration, Banking Operations preferably in Guarantee/Trade Operations.
Additional Information
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
