Join our Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) department as an experienced Traffic Controller- Nightshift supporting TTM across the Auckland Region.
As a TTM crew member you’ll ensure safety parameters across a variety of projects which can include roading network upgrades to larger scale regional projects. You will provide the highest level of safe traffic management for our staff, clients and public community.
In addition to the above you will:
Control vehicle and pedestrian flow using stop/slow batons, signs, and operate automatic signals
Install, maintain, and remove road signs, cones, barriers, and other traffic management devices in accordance with TMPs
Remain alert to changing site conditions or hazards and respond appropriately to ensure safety
Liaise with site workers, supervisors, and fellow controllers to ensure smooth operations and respond to any incidents
Participate in daily tailgate briefings, understanding the risk management of each project
Conduct flagging, lane closures, set up detours, full freeway and sidewalk closures and many more set ups
Guiding traffic and pedestrians through traffic plans, ensuring efficient flow of traffic
Raising concerns or questions with your STMS or Supervisor

We’re looking for someone with:
Hold a minimum class 1 drivers’ licence is preferred
Hold a TTM Worker ticket or equivalent is preferred
Must be able to work during the weekdays (Sunday night to Thursday night)
Installing and removal of motorway closure experience is preferred.
Experience as a Traffic Controller is ideal
Good communication skills
