Job Description
In this influential role, you will:
• Lead the strategic expansion of Jacobs' traffic engineering and ITS services across key states such as Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to discern opportunities and craft successful strategies for diverse transportation projects, spanning roadway, bridge, traffic, and environmental services.
• Oversee and enhance complex traffic engineering and ITS projects, ensuring adherence to technical excellence and industry standards.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with state departments of transportation (DOTs), municipalities, and regional transportation agencies.
• Mentor and empower a multidisciplinary team of engineers and planners dedicated to delivering cutting-edge, sustainable solutions.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or have the ability to obtain it through reciprocity.
• Bring 15+ years of experience in traffic engineering and ITS, showcasing strong leadership in business development and project delivery.
• Exhibit an in-depth knowledge of traffic analysis tools, ITS technologies, and DOT standards.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship-building skills.
• Show experience in traffic design, construction, and operational engagement with transportation departments, planning agencies, transit authorities, and/or municipal organizations.
Ideally, you will also possess:
• Experience in traffic safety-related work with DOTs, cities, and counties, including registration as a Road Safety Professional or higher.
• Project management experience with large-scale programs ($10M+) involving DOTs, particularly in the Georgia market.
• Established relationships with primarily DOT clients throughout the Southeast US.
