Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a Trailer Mechanic at our Paradise, NL location.
This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a contagious can-do attitude in the workplace. We’re looking for a trailer mechanic responsible for the repair and maintenance of large commercial trailers. This is a physically demanding position that requires the candidate to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Repairing and replacing parts of trailers including mechanical, brakes, bearings, suspensions, electrical systems, and hitch installs
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Estimate labour times for suggested repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Review work orders and discuss work with Service Advisor
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Previous dealership experience is considered an asset
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to learn from other technicians
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours/ week shift with possible overtime
