The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Cable Jointer to join our field team and begin a hands-on career working on New Zealand’s electricity network. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that delivers essential services to the community.
You’ll receive structured training and on-the-job support while learning how to construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electricity assets safely and efficiently.

About the Role:

Under the guidance of experienced team members, you will assist with the construction, maintenance, and servicing of overhead and underground electrical networks to meet customer and network requirements. You’ll help develop work plans, operate electrical equipment, and support underground cable installation, excavation, and reinstatement works. You will also play an important role in ensuring field documentation, asset information, and safety records are completed accurately and on time.
This role involves physical outdoor work, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
