Trainee Civil Engineering Technician Tullys have been providing high quality services in civil, structural and infrastructure engineering for over 40 years across London and the south-east, on projects ranging from under £1m to over £200m. We have significant and proven expertise from pre-planning to detailed design for the residential and education markets, as well as heritage, healthcare, commercial, retail and leisure sectors. With a broad client base including valuable private clients with long standing relationships, you will be joining a friendly, stable and supportive design team. We are a forward-thinking practice, currently seeking an ambitious Trainee Civil Engineering Technician with at least 2 years’ experience, to develop their career and become a key part of our business. As a technician you will work closely with our engineering teams. This role will be based at our Forest Row office with the occasional visit to our London Bridge office. The post involves the opportunity for day release ONC/HNC training in Civil Engineering. Working closely with Chartered Engineers you will:
• Follow suitable instructions, prepare general arrangements and detailed working drawings for ground models, road layouts and drainage work as required.
• Liaise with design team counterparts in other Professionals offices.
• Under direction from the project management team attend sites to inspect progress of work or to assist with investigative surveys into existing works or into ground conditions.
• Actively maintain one’s ability and technical competence in the light of new developments within the industry.
• Assist where practicable in I.T. matters and development of computer systems.
• Carry out other related duties, as and when required by the Directors. Trainee Civil Engineering Technician
• Requirements
• Have an interest in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• A good understanding of AutoCAD with preferably Civils3D and Micro/InfoDrainage experience.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to prioritise workload.
• Strong, reliable team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Must have valid Right to Work in the UK.
• Due to office location, car owner with a full, clean driving license is necessary.

• Technical development through on-the-job training including any appropriate software training.
• Support towards your continued professional development.
