Job Description
Kemps Windows & Doors Ltd manufacture high-quality timber windows and doors for homes across London, the South East & beyond. We blend traditional craftsmanship with modern machinery, using timbers such as Accoya® and hardwoods to deliver durable, sustainable products.
✅ Important: This is a workshop/manufacturing role based at our Enfield workshop.
It is not site carpentry / not installation work and does not involve travelling to jobs.
The Role - Entry Level (training provided)
Who the role is for - This role is ideal for college leavers (or anyone finishing education this summer) who want to start a proper career in a hands-on trade and learn real workshop skills from the ground up.
We are open to - Full-time applicants, and Part-time applicants (alongside studies) if you can commit to set days reliably.
Key Responsibilities Initial focus:
Hand sanding and preparing timber joinery for paint finishing
Filling, checking, and refining surfaces to a high standard
Assisting the spray finishing process (masking, moving items, keeping the area organised)
Following quality checks and learning what “good” looks like
Progression (as skills grow):
Learning glazing (safe handling, fitting, sealing, checks)
Learning joinery assembly (assisting assembly of windows/doors, fitting components, checking tolerances)
What we are looking for:
We’re not looking for “anyone” — we want someone who takes pride in doing things properly.
Joinery/Carpentry experience preferred (college course, workshop, site work, hobby experience etc.) but not essential
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Reliable, punctual, and happy with an early start
Positive attitude and able to work as part of a small team

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
