The exposure you get as Engineering Graduates
DP World's DryDocks World is one of prominent shipyard in Middle East with largest dockyard; new graduate will have opportunity to understand & engage in conversion, new build and repair of mega and complex offshore structure.
• On-site experience in Dubai during the initial year
• With dedicated pool of 400 Engineering professionals shared between two offices (Mumbai & Dubai); you will be working with some of world's top technical experts to provide amicable, new age solutions for industry.
• Opportunity to learn highly advanced 3D Modelling software for design development of highly complex offshore oil and gas mega structures
• Opportunities to engage in design and detailing of complex projects within offshore energy, including HVDC platforms for offshore wind power transmission, FPSO conversions, Drilling rigs etc.
• Continuous Engagement with shipyard, global clients, vendors and associated stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE I : Trainee - Structural Production Engineering – Global Service Centre
• Training will be provided on latest 3D Modeling using specialized software like Tekla structure, CADMatic System, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Sigma nest, Procam Rhinoceros.
• Capable to learn to extract Material take-off based on Client preliminary design drawings.
• Capable of learning about Marine and Offshore Structures.
• Capable to learn the workflow of Structural Production Engineering.
• Studying technical drawings & documents and assessing the Material Requirements.
• Training shall be provided to learn about departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Training shall be provided to understand and to do drafting for D.A.P. (Detail assembly process) drawings as per build strategy drawing.
• Training shall be provided to understand and to do drafting Assembly drawings following engineering drafting standards.
• Training shall be provided to understand and to do plates nesting drawings and optimizing material wastage.
• Training shall be provided to understand and to do profile nesting drawings using engineering software and generate NC for feeding HGG robots.
• Training shall be provided to understand and to do forming drawings for profiles and plates based on the project requirement.
• Understanding of the welding symbols and details to create welding traceability by mapping drawings and welding lists applied in Structural production engineering.
• Onsite Training shall be provided to understand the New Build Construction facilities which are available in Dubai Yard.
Skills/Education we seek:
• Graduates with degrees in Mechanical/ Civil /Structural Production engineering
• Good CGPA (Above 6 on scale of 10) & no backlogs
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. word, excel etc
• AutoCAD skills will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of core engineering concepts and can apply them in real-world situations.
• Analyse complex situations, suggest practical solutions.
• Pay attention to every detail of a project, which helps identify and correct errors.
• Excellent communication skills through group projects and presentations, which enable to communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Solid critical thinking skills to find solutions to challenging problems quickly
• Positive Attitude and willingness to lean new concepts.
• Project assignment related to offshore, energy, renewable energy or hydrocarbons(if any, will be good to have)
