We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed person to join the Busselton team on an initial 12-month contract with the possible opportunity for extension.

About the role

As trainee with us, you will be expected to be able to carry out the full range of work carried out by a Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator, with the appropriate training and supervision

You’ll receive a high standard of training and development in your role from experienced Treatment Operators and Managers, people who’ve been with the company for years, so you’ll learn from some of the best in the industry

You will be handling dangerous goods (with the right training you need to keep safe), performing chlorine changeover, and transporting chlorine

In your role you will complete heavy manual tasks, in awkward postures at times including clearing blocked networks or hosing down areas

Tasks vary from working both water and wastewater treatment, lifting gatic lids, turning valves, accessing chambers, using hand tools such as shifters, chainsaws, yes at times you will be clearing bio sludge in full PPE

About you

You will have great ability to learn as you will be learning through both on the job, so you need great listening skills, and in the classroom

You will have experience working on Technical Systems so you will be ‘tech savvy’

You enjoy working on country, being outdoors and able to adapt to covering a multitude of sites

You must be working towards your Driver’s Licence or hold a current WA ‘C Class’ Drivers Licence

Strong Awareness of Safety

Enjoy working with your hands – some work involves heavy manual tasks, precision work in a workshop or field environments, and some handling of dangerous goods – Don’t worry, you’ll get all the training you need to keep safe
