SkinQ is a results-driven facial and waxing studio with locations in Andersonville, Roscoe Village, and Lincoln Park. We specialize in customized, clinical skincare in a private, one-on-one setting—no open treatment floors, no rushed services. We’re growing quickly and are looking for a high-performing esthetician to step into a Trainer, Special Projects role—an opportunity to stay hands-on with clients while also contributing to the systems, standards, and initiatives that shape the future of SkinQ.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role—you’ll maintain a consistent book of clients while also taking on administrative, training, and strategic responsibilities.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining service quality, improving the client experience, and supporting internal programs that impact all SkinQ locations.

What You’ll Do
Esthetics (Primary Focus)
• Perform facials, waxing, and advanced treatments in alignment with SkinQ standards
• Maintain a consistent client book and deliver an exceptional experience
• Serve as a role model for service quality, consultation, and retail recommendations
Quality Control & Client Experience
• Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to estheticians to ensure consistency in service delivery
• Oversee the SkinQ Secret Shopper Program
• Monitor client feedback and Net Promoter Score (NPS), identifying trends and opportunities
• Help maintain and elevate SkinQ’s service standards across all locations
Special Projects & Programs
• Manage SkinQ Academy (internal training program and credit tracking)
• Organize and execute our Annual Summit (all-day company training event)
• Support company-wide initiatives and special projects
Reputation Management
• Respond to Google, Yelp, and other public reviews in a professional, brand-aligned voice
• Help protect and strengthen SkinQ’s online reputation
Research & Development
• Evaluate new products, services, and treatments
• Provide feedback and insights to leadership
• Support rollout of new offerings and protocols
Leadership & Collaboration
• Participate in interviewing esthetician candidates
• Attend management meetings and contribute to esthetics-related decisions
• Facilitate quarterly Esthetics Steering Committee meetings focused on innovation and growth
What We’re Looking For
• Licensed esthetician in Illinois (required)
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of skincare ingredients, treatments, and product lines
• Confident in consultations, treatment planning, and retail recommendations
• Strong communication and coaching skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Professional, proactive, and solutions-focused
