Job description:

Develop and deliver training on all aspects of statutory child protection to staff of Services to Children and Families.

This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

Duties

Develop and deliver training on all aspects of statutory child protection to staff of Services to Children and Families.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - ASAP Start Date

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).

University acquired degree or diploma in a humanities field

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

Conviction checks in the following areas: a) crimes of violence b) *** related offences c) serious drug offences d) crimes involving dishonesty 2 Identification check 3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check.

Desirable Requirements

Qualifications and experience in adult professional learning.
