Details: The Training Officer plays an exciting and influential role in building the capability of staff who support Road Transport legislation and the rego.act system. This position offers the opportunity to design and deliver high‑quality learning experiences that make a real impact across the ACT. You will create engaging, modern, and accessible training solutions, including interactive web‑based modules as well as dynamic classroom and virtual workshops, ensuring every learning experience is clear, relevant, and enjoyable.
In this role, you will manage the development and maintenance of training materials, schedules, assessments, and communication products. The position provides opportunities to support senior staff through briefing preparation and issue resolution as needed.
To succeed, you will bring strong written and verbal communication skills, confidence presenting in both classroom and virtual environments, and the ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision. You will consistently model professionalism and integrity, uphold the ACTPS Code of Conduct, and promote the values of respect, integrity, collaboration, and innovation, along with the Respect, Equity and Diversity framework. Meeting recordkeeping obligations under the Territory Records Act 2002 is also essential.
If this sounds like you, and you’re excited by the opportunity to create engaging learning experiences that genuinely make a difference, we encourage you to apply.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
