Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of this position is to provide training and support of efficient and effective processes related to revenue generation across the Network. This is a quality, customer focused service to patients and their families, and to staff, by consulting, delivering and implementing training and education to operational staff, clinicians and other hospital professionals. The role will also provide support to the Transactional Services Department to ensure that these functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner, thereby contributing to revenue and cash flow improvement within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

This position will be responsible for providing training advice and assistance to various departments across the Network and also the Transactional Services Department. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and co-operation through a flexible and hands-on approach to work, the respect of co-workers and a willingness to assist and meet team deadlines.

The Training Support Officer reports to the Training and Quality Assurance Manager and assists the Transactional Services Team in ensuring excellence in service delivery by supporting the day to day operations related to the billing process. The billing, receipting and debt recovery operations are managed by the Transactional Services Department for hospital services associated with patient care and related hospital functions.

The Training Support Officer will work closely with the Patient Billing, Receipting and Debt Recovery transactional teams to ensure the generation and collection of revenue is performed in a timely and efficient manner.

The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, together with the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, forms the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN).
Our aim is to provide relevant, innovative and dynamic health service for all children attending our facilities.
