Transaction Accountant

Summary of Position
Pine Tree is seeking to add a Transaction Accountant who will be responsible for Accounts Payable matters for a portfolio of retail shopping centers.
Responsibilities
Treasury Responsibilities:
• Initiate ACH and Wire transfers
• Record journal entries relating to those cash transfers
• Input and approve positive pay in bank portals
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
• Responsible for receiving, coding, and entering urgent vendor invoices
• Responsible for resolving invoice exceptions
• Work with property managers and others for approving/processing vendor invoices
• Responsible for committing payments and ensuring applicable payments are mailed to vendors
• Responsible for researching and reconciling unpaid vendor invoices
• Responsible for paying applicable mortgage and real estate tax payments
• Respond and provide support for all related inquiries
• Perform other accounting related duties as assigned
Assists in applying utility billings directly to tenant accounts
Desired Skillsets & Qualifications
• Associates degree - Required
• Bachelor's degree - Preferred
• Prior AP experience - Preferred
• Yardi Voyager software experience - Preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
• Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high-quality solutions
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
