Transaction Banking (“TxB”) facilitates the storage and movement of value globally. As a strategic priority for Goldman Sachs, we are building a modern and digital-first solution to serve our clients. Our business combines the strength, heritage, and expertise of a 150-year-old firm with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Our goal is to provide a best-in- TxB’s Risk Management team oversees all risks across TxB globally. Potential candidates will have a bird’s eye view of an exciting new business and the opportunity to work closely with TxB and GS leadership teams. They will also have a view into all TxB products, new business initiatives, go-to-market strategies, client interactions, regulatory dynamic and the full spectrum of business risks and controls.

The Role

TxB’s Risk Management team oversees all risks across TxB globally. Potential candidates will have a bird’s eye view of an exciting new business and the opportunity to work closely with TxB and GS leadership teams. They will also have a view into all TxB products, new business initiatives, go-to-market strategies, client interactions, regulatory dynamic and the full spectrum of business risks and controls.

TxB Risk Manager’s principal responsibility will be:
• Act as the subject matter expert and thought leader for all AML, Sanctions, regulatory and other financial crimes related topics within the TxB Risk team and the business broadly, including:
• Developing AML frameworks to mitigate and manage financial crimes (FCC) risk within the business
• Driving program governance around FCC components across the business
• Work closely with client risk teams on client enhanced due diligence (EDD) to assess and evaluate financial crimes compliance frameworks and programs of clients
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to advise on relevant regulatory topics related to revenue pipeline and new products development
• Support TxB’s control testing program of clients’ compliance programs by owning the FCC components of the process, including, but not limited to:
• Counterparty controls testing - evaluation of compliance by clients in selecting their clients consistent with agreed rules of engagement, contractual obligation and in conformity with relevant regulations and best practices
