About the Role

We’re looking for a Transactional Service Officer to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate, efficient, and high quality transactional finance services across the Capricorn Group.

In this hands on role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the day to day banking and accounts payable functions, including supplier maintenance and verification, daily banking and receipting, cash book reconciliations, and processing corporate supplier payments. You’ll also provide broader support across payroll, accounting and reporting activities, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Working closely with the Transactional Services Team Leader, you’ll assist with ad hoc business service requests and step in to deputise when required—making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, accountability, and continuous improvement within a collaborative finance environment.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you’ll have a proactive and solutions focused mindset, with the confidence to take ownership of your work and see tasks through to completion. You’ll also bring:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
A positive, team oriented approach and willingness to support others
Solid proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
Exposure to Epicor or MS Dynamics ERP systems (desirable but not essential)
Experience

5–7 years’ professional experience in an accounting or finance role
Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, with a strong focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable
Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline are desirable, but not essential
