- Embodies High Tech High's design principles in all work activities and actions
- Creates daily lesson plans with project-based assignments that are engaging, educational, and exciting for students
- Plans, prepares, and delivers instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- Incorporates goals, competencies, and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to students' lives
- Grades assignments and homework regularly to keep students updated on their progress
- Identifies students who are struggling with learning, emotional problems, or situations at home, and finds them the resources they need
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential or out-of-state teaching license
- 24 units in early childhood education or child development
- Experience working with preschool-age children, preferably in a classroom setting
- Child Development Teacher Permit, Child Development Master Teacher Permit, or early childhood education specialist credential from CTC (advantageous)
- Ability to manage diversity, think critically, and prioritize time management effectively
