• Ensure terminology consistency across all localized content.
• Functional Testing
• Verify that localized text displays correctly in software, websites, or applications.
• Check for issues such as text truncation, incorrect encoding, or misaligned UI elements.
• Cultural & Regional Appropriateness
• Assess translations for cultural relevance and sensitivity.
• Validate formats for dates, times, currencies, and measurements according to locale standards.
• Bug Identification & Reporting
• Document linguistic and functional issues using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and localization teams to resolve issues.
• Proofread and edit translated texts for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
