Auckland Transport (AT) is welcoming expressions of interest for future Transport Officer opportunities. While there are no current vacancies, we're always keen to connect with individuals who are excited to support our mission of connecting people and communities and ensuring a safe, inclusive public transport experience for all Aucklanders.

As a Transport Officer no day is the same. You'll work across rail, bus, ferry and key interchanges, work outside and be physically active, and connect with a diverse range of customers.

You'll also:

Champion equality and accessibility across our public transport network

Support customers boarding, disembarking and navigating the transport network

Educate with empathy and ensure a safe, respectful environment

Help prevent incidents and address fare evasion through engagement and enforcement

Receive an excellent detailed induction program and coaching to build your skills, confidence and capability

Shift work details:

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, alternating one week on morning shifts and the next week on afternoon shifts. You will also work one weekend a month.

Morning shifts: 6am - 2:30pm, 6:20am - 2:50pm, 6:30am - 3pm

Afternoon shifts: 12:50pm - 9:20pm, 1:10pm - 9:40pm, 1:30pm - 10pm

If you are successful, you will…

Start with five weeks of full training to become a warranted officer

Earn a base salary of $65,050, with increases as you gain experience

Receive shift allowances for meals and breaks

Work a rotating seven-day roster
