Responsibilities:
• Inspects, trouble shoots, diagnoses and performs maintenance on all aspects of trailer and its components
• Assembles and disassembles trailer components as required
• Adjusts, repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems of trailer including electrical components, suspension parts, hydraulic systems, braking systems, landing gear assemblies, and trailer frames, fenders, axles, wheels and tires
• Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure work meets manufacture’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Conducts CVIP’s (as required) and performs routine maintenance and service
• Examines trailer for road worthiness and diagnoses faults or malfunctions
• Operates equipment as needed for repairs or inspections
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Reviews work orders completes tasks accordingly
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative on projects
• Completes report and accurately details work performed and any issues discovered
• Maintains a working environment that is safe, clean and healthy
