Trauma Support Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Trauma Support Specialist to provide trauma-informed support services in Tennant Creek and remote communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised trauma support and therapy services to members of the local community
Collaborate with community stakeholders to develop and implement effective trauma support strategies
Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored support plans to address complex trauma and related issues
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Foster strong relationships with community members and stakeholders to enhance service delivery
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, or related discipline
Current registration with AHPRA or equivalent practicing certificate
Experience working with Aboriginal communities and understanding of cultural protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
