Why join us

Joining Sainsbury's Travel Money team as a Travel Money Manager offers an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a team across multiple locations and deliver exceptional customer service. With a focus on providing expert advice on travel money to customers and driving business performance, you will have the chance to bring out the best in your team and contribute to their personal and professional development. As part of a well-established and trusted brand, you will benefit from an organised and supportive work environment, while also having the autonomy to make independent decisions and handle challenging situations. This role requires you to lead by example, engaging with customers, providing expert advice on travel money, and promoting our travel money products to enhance their holiday experience. You will set targets for your team, monitor their performance through observations and regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback and coaching to help them develop their potential. Operationally, you will follow procedures to minimise risk, protect assets, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation. Additionally, you will build professional relationships with Sainsbury's colleagues, develop marketing ideas, and provide regular performance updates to the Area Manager. Your strong leadership skills, positive outlook, and passion for delivering excellent customer service will enable you to bring out the best in your team and drive the business forward. You will demonstrate effective communication, organisational efficiency, and attention to detail gained from previous managerial or team-leading roles, preferably within a foreign exchange, travel agency, or banking environment.
