Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Treasurer to provide administrative support within our office environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QuickBooks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency in office management tools, and a customer-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
Reports on budget performance and financial health of the organization.
Maintains a ledger of all accounts with documentation of financial transactions and supporting receipts.
Performs reconciliation of monthly financial records i.e. bank statements, deposits etc., investigates and follows-up on bad checks.
Processes Obligations/Contributions and maintains documentation of receipts and distributions for each Unit.
Pays bills and processes payments in a timely manner.
Maintains Girls State financials.
Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Ensures funds received are deposited within 24 hours of receipt.
Works closely with the Finance Committee chair.
Minimum requirement
High school diploma or GED
One year experience as an Accountant or Treasurer
Strong knowledge of MS Office
Must have extensive experience in QuickBooks
Strong communications and people skills
Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Must be available for all Department Conferences and Convention
Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary is a must.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
