Your function

As a Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Treasury Manager in carrying out treasury related tasks for the Australian and New Zealand group and joint venture companies. You will work closely with Finance team members and internal departments.

Day to day

Treasury Tasks

Assist Treasury Manager in monitoring the ANZ entities’ balance sheet risks in accordance with Group Treasury policies, and provide reports and inputs to the Local Pricing Committee and Local Risk Committee meetings
Assist in preparing and analysing asset-liability (A&L) gaps of each entity to manage over/underfunding of the portfolios’ future asset profile and mitigate interest rate and liquidity risks
Monitor allocated credit limits with Parent Bank on an ongoing basis, to adequately fund forecasted business requirements in the medium term
Maintain the integrity of the Quantum treasury system data and related GL balances
Prepare the end-of-month Treasury Position reports, ensuring that the end of month positions agree to the related GL balances, and that interest accruals are correctly recorded
Prepare Daily Treasury Payment Requisition for the settlement of Principal & Interest repayments of Term Loans; and confirm the settlement amounts with the Parent Bank
Review and recalculate monthly Interest Rate Swap settlements with Parent Bank
Assist in the Funding process; from gathering all required data, preparing funding requests ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all Treasury related data
Load Treasury Funding deals on the Quantum treasury platform accurately and on time, and arrange for approval on the system
Prepare Quarterly Treasury Compliance Checklists and Gating Letter to Group Treasury
Provide transactions pricing to the business on a timely manner
Keep interest rate trend analysis and market information up to date and using this data for sensitivity analysis and planning.
Develop Treasury Control Framework using a risk-based approach
Participate in Treasury Risk & Control activities including Control documentation and testing.
Assist ANZ Treasury Manager on other duties as required.
General Finance Tasks

Other finance tasks that may be reasonably required by the business from time to time

Your Profile
Strong communication skills, able to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced modelling and analytical skills, knowledge of Power BI; ability to confidently work and analyse large data sets.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and adhere to strict deadlines.
Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Good business acumen
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Flexible and able to manage competing priorities
Good verbal and written skills
Willingness to assist outside of normal duties when required by the business.
Extras:

Experience in a treasury or finance role, preferably within the financial services industry. Experience in equipment financing is a plus.
CPA or CA or equivalent (qualified/part qualified)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g Power BI)
