Southland Holdings is seeking a Treasury Staff Accountant to assist at our corporate office in Grapevine, TX. This position is ENTRY LEVEL, new grads are encouraged to apply!
Job Duties:
Accurately post payments and adjustments from various sources on a daily basis
Monitor cash activity and balances
Resolve daily bank issues
Research and post electronic transactions
Electronically deposit AR receipts
Import and verify positive pay transactions
Initiate Wires and ACH payments
Import weekly ACH files
Unclaimed Property, Send due diligence letters
Keep current on unclaimed property requirements in all 50 states as required by law
Respond to emails received from operations in a timely manner. Perform necessary research as requested. May include copies of cashed checks, emails, reports, payment history, etc.
Provide needed documents as requested for audits, such as copies of checks, bank statements, etc.
Other various accounting duties and/or projects
Qualifications:
Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge of Sage 300 and Viewpoint software preferred
0-3 years in Treasury or related field.
Intermediate Excel skills required
Must have strong communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of management
Ability to manage a broad range of activities
Excellent time management and organization skills
Organized, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and work independently
