The OpportunityVeolia Australia & New Zealand is the only global company to provide a full range of environmental services in the fields of water, waste management and energy solutions.With the global expertise gained from serving the environment for more than 150 years, we have an opportunity for an experienced Treatment Operator to join our team in Wellington.This role is responsible for undertaking treatment plant operations activities to ensure the plants operate in safe, efficient and compliance conditions at all times.What's on offerA great team-working environmentEmployee assistance programs (EAP) through assure which covers mental health, nutrition, financial, legal, coaching and career transition supportCompetitive salaryOpportunities for professional growth and developmentStable employment with a reputable organisationMeaningful work that contributes to the well-being of our communityWhat you'll be responsible forYour Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToMaintain the required qualification and certification to meet regulatory requirements.Complete ongoing training to maintain the required competency for the role.Completion of routine tasks and inspections and making the necessary process adjustments within your skill sets to ensure processes are optimal.Carrying out routine inspections to ensure all instruments and equipment are operating correctly and are collaborated and certified.Issuing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to the maintenance team and ensuring work is planned and carried out to the required quality standards.Providing training to trainees - within your skill sets.Organising / ordering consumables, materials and spares, and manage subcontractor and suppliers.Participating in the On-Call duty operator roster.Contribute to the management of Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Management Systems, while applying these procedures in all aspects of work.Comply with the requirements of the company's business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to contribute to the company's commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts.All employees are responsible for reporting any problems with the business management system, particularly in relation to the management of occupational health and safety, environment and drinking water.To undertake such general duties as and when required for the effective provision of services to the client.What you'll need to be successfulQualificationsNZQA Level 5 Diploma -
