We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty repair, with experience in industrial equipment. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, assembling parts, and performing welding tasks as needed. The Truck and Transport Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and ensuring the highest standards of vehicle performance and safety. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure the safe and efficient operation of these vehicles and equipment.

Duties

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in various vehicles, including heavy machinery and tractor trailers.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other critical systems.

Utilize schematics to understand vehicle layouts and identify necessary repairs or replacements.

Assemble components and systems as required for vehicle restoration or enhancement.

Conduct welding tasks to repair or fabricate parts as needed for truck and transport applications.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Stay updated on the latest truck and transport technologies and repair techniques to enhance skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Truck & Transport Mechanic as a minimum 3rd year Apprentice

Red Seal is considered a strong asset to our team

Strong understanding of heavy duty repair processes and techniques.

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.

Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals related to automotive systems.

Experience with welding techniques is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.

Valid class 5 driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.

Salary

$45,000 - $85,000 depending on your experience
