Full job description
PB07 Transport Limited is a transport company specializing in efficient and reliable freight solutions across New Zealand. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Truck Drivers who can operate a Class 5 truck to join our team, deliver excellence, and ensure timely transport across our network.
Job Duties include-
Operate the truck on assigned transport routes in line with business needs.
Inspect and ensure that loads are secure and in good condition before each trip.
Adhere to all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transport.
Maintain detailed records of goods transported and verify invoices.
Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines.
Execute deliveries and pickups as scheduled.
Track and log driving hours, rest periods, mileage, and fuel/toll receipts.
Implement fuel-saving techniques and strategies to support business sustainability.
Promptly report any equipment or mechanical issues.
Report any accidents or incidents encountered during transport.
Keep vehicle equipment maintained; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors regularly, and keep the vehicle interior tidy and free from debris.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $27 to $33 per hour.
Other important requirements:
Relevant truck driving work experience is preferred, but not mandatory
Valid Class 5 NZ Driving license or Overseas Heavy Truck License.
Clean driving and criminal history
Dangerous Goods and Forklift endorsement will be preferred.
Must be ready to stay away from home if needed to meet the business requirements.
Must be able to work on both day and night shifts to meet the business requirements.
Available to Work on weekends
Must pass drug and ******* tests.
Must be able to unload and reload the trailer while using a pallet jack or manually if needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Self-motivated and a passionate individual
Hardworking individual.
