About the role:
We are looking for a reliable Truck Driver to transport and deliver goods safely and efficiently. This roles involves operating heavy vehicles, handling freight, and ensuring compliance with all safety and transport regulations.
Key responsibilities:
Operate and manoeuvre vehicles safely
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
Secure and protect loads during transport
Conduct vehicle checks and report faults
Ensure loads meet legal weight and safety requirements
Verify delivery documents and obtain proof of delivery
Maintain accurate records of trips and hours
Follow all health, safety, and transport regulations
Drive safely in all road and weather conditions
Perform manual handling and customer service duties
Handle specialised loads and assist with recovery or towing when required
Skills & Requirements
Valid heavy vehicle licence
Minimum 1 year relevant truck driving experience
Ability to operate loading or lifting equipment
Understanding of load restraint and safety requirements
Good physical fitness
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Good communication and customer service skills
Minimum of 30 hours per week offered
We guarantee to offer a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. These roles require workers to be available for work in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatū-Whanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Northland, Gisborne, Taranaki, and Southland. When workers are required to travel, appropriate travel and accommodation expenses will be provided.
